Chapter 7: Adventure Begins

Seth and Micah headed back down the trail to Route 5, excited to finally get started with some real training. When they finally got down the steep hill they jumped the fence to get on Route 5. To their right was the underground path to Vermilion City, and just ahead was the Pokémon daycare. It is a short walk to Cerulean City; the boys could already see the fence around it from where they stood. "Hey, I’ve been thinking of a nickname for Snorlax, I think I’ll call him Troll! They were giants that turned to stone in the sunlight" Seth said, then they stopped, Micah spotted a group of Pidgey flying around in front of them up the trail and pointed his pokedex at them. He held it up at the Pidgey but nothing happened, "How close do we have to get to these things for the pokedex to see them?" He said as he flipped it shut and started to put it away. As he turned to put it in his backpack it pointed to Hitmonlee. It flipped back open and said "Hitmonlee, a fighting type Pokémon" Then a bunch of information came up on it, so Micah read it out loud. "Hitmonlee number 106, the kicking Pokémon. It is a reckless limber Pokémon that cannot be paralyzed; its power is boosted double when it uses a move with recoil damage. It is known as the kick master, it uses its elastic legs to execute every known kick. This Pokémon has an awesome since of balance, it can kick in rapid succession from any position. If it starts kicking repeatedly its legs stretch even longer to strike a fleeing foe. When in a hurry its legs lengthen progressively, it runs smoothly with extra long strides. When kicking, the sole of its foot turns as hard as diamond on impact and destroys its enemy. Its legs freely stretch and contract, using these spring like legs it bowls over foes with devastating kicks. After battle it rubs its legs down to overcome fatigue" Micah read, he was as excited as could be! "Wow, Hitmonlee is awesome!!" He said as he struck a pose with Hitmonlee.

Seth pointed his at Hitmonlee to update it, and then they both pointed them at Snorlax. "Snorlax, a normal type Pokémon" it said as it started bringing up data. Seth read it out loud in excitement. "Snorlax number 143, a sleeping Pokémon. It has thick fat that works as insulation, reducing the affect of fire and ice type moves, it is also immune to poison. It is very lazy, it just eats and sleeps. As its bulk builds it becomes steadily more slothful. It will eat anything; its stomach is so strong it can eat moldy or rotten food. Its digestive juices can dissolve any kind of poison. It doesn’t feel full unless it eats 900 pounds of food a day. It stops eating only to sleep, and when its belly is full it becomes so lethargic that children can bounce on its vast body." The two boys looked disappointed "that’s it, that sucks" Seth said. “Yah, I was kind of hoping for some exciting information.” Micah agreed.

They walked north towards Cerulean City on Route 5. The trail was split by a fenced off area around the daycare mans house. As they walked along the path they could see a place up ahead near the Cerulean City fence where the daycare mans yard was not fenced off. ”That must be how people get to the daycare mans house, you have to be on the north side of Route 5 to get into his yard and then walk back south to his house. I always wondered how people were supposed to get there, from the Saffron City exit it just looks like his house and yard is completely fenced off.” Seth said as they looked through the daycare mans fence into the grass.

They walked for another hundred yards or so and were now at the fence surrounding Cerulean City. "I thought it would be farther away than that" Micah said looking up at the big fence. They looked back at the daycare mans yard; it would be the first grass either of them had ever walked though with their Pokémon. There were several different sections of the yard, separated by small steep cliffs. Hitmonlee did a back flip off the first cliff and landed in the first big section of the yard. Snorlax just jumped off and the boys jumped down onto his belly. The grass was green, lush, and about two feet high, perfect for finding some small Pokémon. "Let’s look for Pokémon" Seth said, and then they started kicking through the grass. Meanwhile Snorlax laid down and started eating grass while Hitmonlee practiced his kicks on Snorlax's belly.

Finally Micah saw some grass moving in front of him, "Hey Seth, come over here, I think I found something" The boys looked as the grass shuffled around, and before they could approach it Hitmonlee flew out of nowhere and kicked the would-be opponent! The boys ran over to see a Pidgey laying unconscious on the ground. Micah pointed his pokedex at it, "Pidgey, a normal flying type Pokémon" it said. Micah looked at his pokedex, “It says here that it doesn’t like to fight, I guess today wasn’t his lucky day" he said as he read through the information it brought up. Seth updated his pokedex and Micah looked around before throwing a Pokeball.  The Pokeball bounced off of the motionless Pokémon and sucked it up. "He didn’t stand a chance" he shouted as he retrieved the Pokeball with the Pidgey inside. “Yah, and it looks like Pokémon are really easy to catch when they’re knocked out!” Seth mentioned. “Definitely! Most of the time trainers try to catch a Pokémon while it is still conscious, it’s more fair to the Pokémon that way.” Micah explained as he looked at the ball. “Well; in your defense, Hitmonlee didn’t exactly give this one a chance to fight.”Seth added. "Looks like I’m guna have to work on that, I can’t have Hitmonlee kicking every patch of grass that moves, next time it might be a person!" Micah said as he put the Pokeball on his belt.

The boys were so excited over Micah catching his first Pokémon that they started to run and jump!  Just then something reached out and clawed Seth on the arm before taking off! Snorlax sprinted towards it and with one swipe of his paw sent the unknown Pokémon flying! It sailed past all of the cliffs and hit the daycare building almost one hundred yards away. The boys ran as fast as they could, jumping down the cliffs and crashing through the grass to check out the flying Pokémon. Hitmonlee beat them to it and stood over it waiting for them to catch up. They finally got there and had to stop a second to catch their breath. "It’s a Meowth", Seth said holding out his pokedex. Then he looked at his arm, it was bleeding. "Cool, he’s mine" he said as he threw a Pokeball. He looked at Snorlax and said "good job Troll, I’ve never seen a Pokémon fly that far without wings"

As the boys celebrated they heard a sound from the other side of the house, sounded like a door opening and closing. "Well, I guess the daycare man is coming out to investigate" Micah said. "Yah, no way he didn’t hear that Meowth hit his wall!" Seth added excitedly! The old man came around the house and saw the boys with their Pokémon."Ah, I thought I heard something" he said with a smile. He walked up to the boys and once he got a closer look at them he was surprised to see he recognized them. "You two were on TV the other day, your Pokémon are truly remarkable" he said. Then he looked down at Seth’s arm, "why don’t you come inside and wash that off, if that’s a scratch from a Pokémon like I think it is than you don’t want it to get infected."  He said as he led the boys around the house to his front door.

The boys went into his house and Seth washed off his wound. The house was very nice and at one end had a very large enclosure. There was a large pond and grassy patch surrounded by bushes. One corner had a very real looking cave, and there were Pokémon playing around everywhere inside. “Wow, your house looks like a Zoo!” Micah said. The old man smiled and opened the gate, letting the boys go inside with the Pokémon. There were all sorts of little Pokémon inside, and all of them came running over. There was a small Paras that came scuttling out of the cave with a Goedude. And Magikarp swam to the edge of the pond to look at the boys, blowing a few bubbles at them. Seth spotted a Kakuna looking at them from a bush as a Sandshrew came rolling over from nearby. A Vulpix and a Nidoran playfully bounded over and rolled around at Snorlax’s feet while Hitmonlee played with a Rhyhorn. “One day we should keep a bunch of Pokémon like this at our house.” Seth said as they walked back through the gate. After saying a quick thank you and goodbye they went outside and headed back towards Cerulean City.

Upon reaching the fence they realized they could not get into town from there. "Well, Snorlax could throw us over but no telling where we would land or what we would land on." Seth said. So the boys followed the fence around the east side of town. There was a trail to Route 9 to the east of them, but it too was blocked off. They spotted a ledge they could jump down at the Gym but they decided to keep walking. Up ahead was a house surrounded by bushes that they could walk through, and it looked like it had a big open door.

As they neared the entrance to the home they realized it was a hole in the wall, not a door. They looked inside; there was a man with a little girl and some cops. One of the cops spotted them looking in. "Hey you kids come here!" he said.  The boys walked in with Hitmonlee leading the way, but Snorlax was nowhere to be seen as he had stopped to eat a few ripe berries on the shrub outside. The cop looked at Hitmonlee with a suspicious glare “Put your Pokémon back in his ball, I don’t like the way it’s looking at me.” The policeman said. Hitmonlee’s intense slanted eyes surrounded by a dark shadow were locked on the cop and he was ready for action. Micah grabbed his ball but suddenly the cop was stricken with fear, he spotted a giant Pokémon step in front of the hole in the wall behind the boys. It was the biggest Pokémon he had ever seen, and it was trying to get inside the house! It was Snorlax; he had decided he would try to fit in through the hole. He was grunting and growling as he tried to squeeze through the hole; the walls were splitting and starting to crumble as he struggled. "Its attacking, watch out kids!" the cop said as he threw out a Pokeball! The Pokeball hit the ground and a Machop came out, poised for action! But before it could do anything Hitmonlee roundhouse kicked it across the room, it hit the front door and broke it down as it continued to tumble out into the yard! The police man grabbed his radio to call for back up, but Hitmonlee wasn’t about to let him. Micah pulled out his Pokeball and retrieved Hitmonlee before it got too ugly. "Hold on officer," Seth said while Micah got Hitmonlee. "That big Pokémon isn’t attacking; it’s my Snorlax trying to follow me." He explained. The policeman looked out the door at his Machop and then back at the boys, he had an angry frown on his face. "Retrieve your Pokémon" he said, pointing to Seth. Seth pulled out his Pokeball and said "Come on Troll.”

The police officer retrieved his Machop and looked at the boys, "You boys are now a part of this investigation, you’re coming with me to the station!" he said angrily as he took a step towards the boys. Suddenly Snorlax popped out of his Pokeball! The house creaked as he stood up; his head hit the ceiling and he cast a huge shadow on the officer. He let out a growl and everyone knew this titan meant business. "You just try to take us in!" Micah said as he let out Hitmonlee, who stood next to Snorlax ready for action. The police man backed up to the wall, he was trembling with fear. Then a man stepped inside and said "what’s going on in here?" Hitmonlee pointed at him and threw a side kick up in his direction, stopping it in front of his face. "Take it easy, I’m not trying to break in" the man said, thinking Hitmonlee belonged to the policemen. "Now come on, I think I just saw the people who robbed this place, they were members of Team Rocket and they were headed for the underground path to Vermilion City!" the man said, and then he started running off.

"Officer I think you have us mistaken for somebody else, sorry about your Machop." Micah said as he retrieved Hitmonlee. "We are just trying to find a man named Bill" Seth explained. "Well that was him; the guy who just told me about Team Rocked was Bill." The police officer said as he regained his composure. "Excuse me for all that mess, I’m just not used to all this kind of stuff, Cerulean City is usually a very peaceful place" the police officer explained. "Well if you don’t mind we would like to help you chase down those Team Rocket guys" Micah said. The policeman looked at the boys, and then at their Pokémon, "good, I could use the backup."  And with that they ran to catch up with Bill, who was now being cornered by two thugs. "Boys, get your Pokémon out, my Machop is hurt too badly to battle.” The policeman said as he grabbed his radio and called in their location. Micah turned red from embarrassment and then threw out Hitmonlee. Seth looked backwards and said "Oh no, I forgot Troll, he probably can’t fit out of the house!" He started to step towards the house but it was too late; Team Rocket saw the boys helping the policeman and headed in their direction.

"You boys looking for trouble" one said, "cause now you've got double" the other added, and with that they threw out two Pokémon each. The first one threw out a Beedrill and an Arbok; the second threw out Nidorino, and Golbat. Hitmonlee was unafraid of the fact he was severely outnumbered, and before any of the Pokémon could make a move he slammed the Nidorino with a high jump kick! The Nidorino flew backwards and rolled on the ground before sliding to a stop. It slowly stood back up and stumbled forward, then fell flat. The Arbok and Beedrill both struck at Hitmonlee, but he dodged both attacks and kicked the Golbat onto the ground.  Just then the Beedrill stung him, badly poisoning him! His sight was blurry but he still managed to dodge a bite by the Golbat. Hitmonlee started to get very sick and fell to one knee.  The Arbok swung at him with its tail but he managed to catch it; he stood up and spun in a circle before tossing it away. He stumbled for a second and ran at the Beedrill, who pointed his stinger right at him! But just before it stung Hitmonlee the Beedrill was smashed into the ground by a huge paw! "Troll, you found us!" Seth said. Snorlax faced the Arbok and threw both hands up and slammed the ground, sending an earthquake straight at him! Arbok went crashing into the earth. The grounded Beedrill managed to crawl over and sting Snorlax, but Snorlax just smiled, he can’t be poisoned. Snorlax grabbed him by the wings and kicked him into a nearby cliff. The Golbat flew in to attack, but was met a huge fist in his face and flipped head over heels into the dirt. By this time the Nidorino had just got enough strength to stand back up, Snorlax reached down and picked up Hitmonlee, who was shuddering from the poison. Snorlax walked towards the Nidorino and put his hand on its head and it collapsed under the weight of just his arm. The police officer pulled an antidote out of his pack and handed it to Hitmonlee, who ate it and was feeling better in an instant.

Micah put his arm around Hitmonlee, and Snorlax started walking toward the Rockets, who fell to their knees in fear. "Bring them over here Troll" Seth ordered. Snorlax carried them to the policeman, who handcuffed them both and then turned to the boys.  "I can’t thank you boys enough! Even if Machop was healed, he wouldn’t have stood a chance." He said as he shook their hands. "Good job boys that was an amazing battle!" Bill said as he stepped in and also shook their hands.  Seth smiled and asked "Are you the same Bill who created the computer system for Pokémon?"  Bill smiled and said "Why yes I am, but how did you know that?" Micah told him how Koichi had suggested they find him, and Bill smiled, "It's been a long time, how is Koichi" he asked. They all talked until the police officer’s backup showed up to pick up the Rocket Grunts. “Maybe we should head over to the Pokecenter to heal everybody.” Micah said after the police got in their cars and drove away with the Rocket Grunts.

They walked to the Pokecenter with Bill and he opened the door for them. They walked in and approached the counter, “Hello, and welcome to the Pokecenter. My name is Nurse Joy.” The woman at the counter said as she looked at the boys and then at Hitmonlee and Snorlax. “Oh my, do I need to take a look at your Pokémon for you? “Sure, go right ahead.” Micah said as he stepped aside. “This will go faster if you put your Pokémon back in its ball, I can use our specialized care unit to asses and heal minor wounds.” Nurse Joy said as she put a trey on the counter with small slots for Pokeballs on it. “Go ahead boys, just put your Pokeballs on the trey.” Bill reassured them. “It’s their first time.” He added as he looked at Nurse Joy. Micah and Seth retrieved Hitmonlee and Snorlax and put their Pokeballs on the counter along with the Meowth and Pidgey. The woman smiled and walked in to the back, “This will only take a few moments.” Bill said as he sat down. Micah and Seth looked around the building until the nurse came back out, “Here you go.” She said as she placed their Pokeballs on the counter. The boys walked over and grabbed their Pokeballs, letting Hitmonlee and Snorlax out immediately. “Thank you very much.” Seth said as they all walked out.

After leaving the Pokecenter they began to walk to Bills house, it was a fairly long journey. They walked around the little building on the west side of the Pokecenter and headed though a little park area with a fountain and some slate benches. Hitmonlee and Snorlax stopped at the fountain to get a drink so Micah, Seth, and Bill sat down on the benches until they were done. When the Pokémon drank their fill they walked northeast and up ahead was the City limit, there was a sign that read “Cerulean City, The Floral Lagoon City”. There was a Stream running across the north side of the City that emptied into a large reservoir that stretched across route 24. There was a large golden bridge that stretched across the reservoir and at the end of it was route 25, which continued to the east.

“This is the Nugget Bridge.” Bill said as they walked up onto the bridge. The water beneath looked nice and deep, there was also a trail on the east side that they could see. There were six trainers on the bridge but they seemed to know Bill and he simply told them he was just headed to his house. As they neared the north end of the bridge they noticed a large grass patch on the west side of the water. They walked down off the bridge and headed east to Route 25. Route 25 was mostly made up of a large tree maze scattered with trainers. The trainers all looked eager but with Bills help they got by without having to battle. Bill knew the area well and in no time they were through the maze.

"Well, here it is boys" Bill said as they came up on a house near the shore of the stream that stretched across the south side of route 25. Bill unlocked the door and they went in, there were papers, books and computer stuff everywhere. "Sorry about the mess boys, I’m constantly working on this thing. I’ll get you each an account going; it will only take a second." Bill said as he got on a computer and went to work, and just like he said, it didn’t take long before he had them set up. "You can access this from any pc, in the Pokecenter and all!" He said as he led the boys to a room, “Check this out!” he said as he opened the door. Inside the room was a bunch of small cute Pokémon, Micah and Seth pointed their pokedex at the little brown Pokémon. “Eevee, a normal Pokémon” the pokedex said. “I raise Eevee; I thought you might just want to see them.” Bill said. “They are pretty cute.” Seth said as he knelt down and let the little Pokémon lick his hand. “Yah, but I still like having bigger stronger Pokémon.” Micah said as he picked one up and looked at it. “Big Pokémon are cool, and tough Pokémon can make you feel secure. But sometimes it’s nice to sit down at the end of the day and have a little Pokémon sit in your lap. Don’t overlook the little cute Pokémon, and don’t automatically assume they are weak. All Pokémon have something to offer, so keep an open mind.” Bill told the boys before heading to the kitchen.

“I know its two o-clock but I bet you guys are hungry.” Bill said. “Yah, we didn’t get a chance to make lunch.” Seth replied. They helped Bill make a big meal and everyone filled their stomach; except Snorlax, who had to go out and forage like usual. “Dang, a nap sounds good.” Micah said as he flopped down on a comfy chair. Hitmonlee slumped down on a couch and Seth joined him while Bill walked down the hall and returned with a small pack of Eevee behind him. He picked one up and sat in his recliner while the others jumped up and nuzzled with everyone else. Hitmonlee cracked an eye open and looked as the little Pokémon sniffed him and curled up in the crook of his arm. When they woke up they found Snorlax had managed to get back inside and was lying in the middle of the floor, all of the Eevee were curled up around him. “Well, it looks pretty nice outside, let’s go out and enjoy the fresh air.” Bill said as he got up and walked towards the front of the house.

They all sat down out front of his house and gazed out at the water. It was getting dark now and the air was refreshingly cool blowing off the water. “Oh, I forgot!” Bill said as he reached into his pocket. “What?” Micah asked. Bill pulled out two tablet looking things and handed one to each of the boys, “These are pokegear, they are smart little devices that you can use. They can download all sorts of handy apps, like the town map. They are also compatible with phones, you just enter in your number and they will take over.” He informed them as they took them and looked at them.  After a few minutes Bill stood up and headed back to his door. “I better go check my e-mails, I haven’t done anything all day." He said as he walked inside. The boys stayed outside with their Pokémon and relaxed. Snorlax walked around eating grass and fruit around the property while Hitmonlee stretched and rubbed his legs down. "Bill has a pretty good spot here, two little ponds and a cottage with an ocean view." Micah said as he reached down and pulled some grass. "Yah, looks like he’s done pretty well with his Pokémon boxes." Seth said. The boys looked around, "This is guna be us some day" Seth said looking at Micah.

A little while later the boys decided to go back inside and found Bill at his desk working on his computer. “Is this what you do all day?” Seth asked. “Yah, kind of.” Bill answered. “But you have this awesome place; don’t you ever get to enjoy it?” Micah added. “Well sure I do. I believe that you need to work hard and play harder. I go fishing every week and also take a day off to battle a trainer or two.” Bill answered before pushing his Keyboard away and rubbing his eyes. He turned towards the boys and looked at them.  "What are your plans now, where to? Maybe the gym badges, the Pokémon league?" He questioned. "I guess we need the badges. I’m just along for the ride, I want to see all the cool places in the world and meet all the cool Pokémon." Seth replied. "Well, I guess I’m out to see all the Pokémon. I’ll learn what I can to try and further Oak's research and have a lot of fun on the way." Micah said, and then he leaned in and put his arms on the table. "Do you know anything about what happened between our parents and Team Rocket?" he asked. Bill took in a deep breath, and looked around. "You boys want to look at my Eevee again?" He asked, already knowing their answer. "No, we don’t want to see your Eevee again. Come on Bill, just tell us.” Micah replied. “By now I'm sure you boys know that Pokémon are extremely powerful, and some more so than others. Well in the right hands a Pokémon can do great things, but in the wrong hands they can do terrible things. Not that Pokémon are evil, but they can be used to do evil things. Zak has an especially powerful Gengar, and when he worked for Team Rocket they used it to do terrible things.” Bill started to explain. “We know most of that, we just want to know what happened. We heard CrimsonEye killed a bunch of people.” Seth interrupted. Bill leaned back in his seat and let out a long slow breath through his nose. “Team Rocket had your parents and two police officers pinned down in the Power Plant in Saffron, it was Giovanni’s headquarters. Anyway, your dad ended up having to use CrimsonEye. He didn’t want to, but he was left with no choice from what I heard. CrimsonEye used an attack which seemed similar to Dark Pulse, some sort of dark pulsing power radiated from his body and killed over sixty men and twenty Pokémon. The ones who were far enough away were still affected, but they simply fell into a deep unending sleep.” Bill explained. “Well what happened to the ones who died, how did it kill them?” Micah asked. “Well I seem to remember that the coroner’s report said something about the wave hit their bodies and caused a dramatic increase in their interstitial pressure. The pressure within their circulatory system went to over 200 PSI almost instantly, causing all of their veins and arteries to burst. All of the vessels near the surface of their skin burst out into the air, spraying out and turning into a misty haze of blood that blanketed everything around them. Their hearts burst and they had all sorts of internal bleeding, killed them all instantly.” Bill told the boys, their eyes grew wide as they listened intently. Bill finished talking and then he leaned in close and looked at them "You two should keep clear of Team Rocket, but if you do start a fight with them..." He put his hands on their shoulders and said "finish it." The boys nodded their heads and then Bill stood up. "You should get some sleep" he said as he headed down the hall. Micah and Seth nodded and grabbed their backpacks.”You can stay in the bedroom down the hall and to the right, it’s got two beds in it” Bill informed them, so they made their way to the room and opened the door.

Inside the room were the two beds that Bill had mentioned, along with a big dresser with a computer on it. Seth dropped his bag on the floor and plopped down on the bed. Micah put his backpack on the bed and looked around the room, there were several pictures hanging on the walls and a few on the dresser. Micah looked at one of the pictures and noticed a few faces he recognized. He walked over and grabbed it off the wall, “Hey Seth, look at this.” He said as he sat down next to Seth. “Wow, that looks like Professor Oak” Seth said as he looked at it. “Yah, and that’s not all. Look at these two guys!”  Micah said, pointing at two other people in the picture. “Hey, that looks like Japi and Koichi” Seth replied as he grabbed the picture. “That must have been when he helped them out with the Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan; it looks like it was taken in the Dojo.”  Seth said as he handed it back to Micah, who put it back up on the wall. Micah nodded and then heard the front door open and close a few times; he could tell by the footsteps that it was Hitmonlee and Snorlax walking in to the house. The room door opened and it was Bill, he was showing Hitmonlee and Snorlax where they were staying. Micah and Seth watched as Hitmonlee and Snorlax came in and got comfortable. “I can’t believe we bumped into Team Rocket today.” Micah said as he jumped into bed with Hitmonlee.  Seth climbed up onto Snorlax’s belly and pulled one of the strings attached to the ceiling fan, turning off the light. “Yah, those guys better hope we don’t come across them again.”  Seth said.  When they finally went to bed, Micah and Seth thought about Team Rocket all night.

Micah and Seth got up the next morning early, and watched the fog roll in from the ocean. Bill came out and sat down in the yard with the boys, the grass was wet with dew and the air was cool. "Bill, thank you for all this." Seth said to him, Bill smiled and nodded his head. Seth turned to Snorlax "Hope Snorlax is well rested; he’s got plenty of battles ahead of him today. Going to use Meowth a little today as well I think." Seth said as he let Meowth out to see how he reacted. Meowth looked up at Seth and scratched his leg and ran and jumped in Micah’s lap. "He likes you? That’s weird, because he hates me. Only good thing I’m guna get from him are some cool scars." Seth exclaimed as he wiped some blood trickling down his leg, smearing it across his palm. "Well I like him, he’s cool and his evolved form is cooler." Micah said as he pet Seth’s Meowth. “Maybe I can use my Pidgey today.” He continued as he grabbed his other Pokeball and released his Pidgey into the yard. It looked around at every body, and then it saw Hitmonlee. It ruffled its feathers and kicked up some grass, "Calm down buddy, you two are a team now" Micah said as he put Meowth down and stood up. Hitmonlee walked over and sat down beside the Pidgey; it was an awkward moment for a few seconds, but finally it calmed down and perched its self on his arm. Micah smiled, "Can't wait to catch some more Pokémon" he said. Then Bill stood up, "You boys should get on the road, you’ve got a long day ahead of you." he pointed out. And with that they got all got up and shook hands with Bill. Micah retrieved his Pidgey and Seth retrieved his Meowth, then they said their goodbyes and left Bills house.

They headed west and noticed people were starting to show up everywhere, probably looking to battle, “We should take turns fighting people, that way our Pokémon don’t get too tired." Micah suggested. “Sounds fair to me. You want to go first or me?” Seth replied. Micah looked around, there was a kid with a yellow hat pacing back and forth but keeping his eye on the boys. "He’s mine" Micah said as he approached the boy. "You looking for a battle" the boy asked eagerly. Micah just smiled and put his arm around Hitmonlee. Seth was looking on with excitement, and noticed a girl just north of him. She looked at him and asked "Did you come from Mt. moon?"  Seth shook his head, "No sorry, why?" he asked. "Oh, I just wanted to see if you had a Clefairy. I was going to ask if you wanted to trade" she said, and then shrugged her shoulders and walked off.

Seth looked back at Micah; the other trainer threw out his first Pokémon. "Do it Ekans" the boy shouted as he threw a Pokeball. Ekans came out rattling his tail and hissing, Hitmonlee stepped up, as always he was not intimidated. "Bite him" The boy shouted!! Ekans sprang into action, he slithered low and fast through the grass towards Hitmonlee. He was lighting fast, but so was Hitmonlee. He struck out of the grass, mouth open ready to sink his mouth full of needle like teeth into his foe! Hitmonlee latched out quickly and grabbed the springing snake, catching the Ekans right behind his head. But Ekans wrapped around his arm and waist, this six foot snake wasn’t about to give up. "Don’t lose his head, you don’t want to get bit" Micah warned Hitmonlee. Hitmonlee put his other hand around Ekans neck and squeezed tight. Ekans began to writhe in pain, his grip loosened up as he choked. It didn’t take long for Ekans to faint. “Your just lucky that your Hitmonlee doesn’t have a neck, otherwise he would have been the one getting choked!” The boy said as he held out his ball.

The boy retrieved his Ekans and tossed out another ball, “I choose you Rattata!” He said as his Rattata came bursting from the ball. “Use Tackle Rattata!” The boy yelled as Rattata ran at Hitmonlee! Hitmonlee sidestepped the attack and tripped the Rattata, sending it tumbling. It jumped up and started to circle Hitmonlee. “Use bite!” the kid shouted, and with that Rattata lunged at Hitmonlee and bit down on his leg! He hiked his leg up and shook it a bit but the Rattata didn’t drop off. “Flip up and kick him off!” Micah said as Hitmonlee gave him a puzzled look. Hitmonlee jumped up into the air and did a back flip, tossing the Rattata off of his leg and sending it flying down to the ground! It hit hard and didn’t get up, Hitmonlee stood over it until the kid retrieved it. “Great job Hitmonlee!” Micah said as he threw his arms around his Pokémon! The boy put his Pokeball back onto his belt and tipped his hat to Micah, “Good battle man, I like you’re Hitmonlee!” the boy said as he walked over and shook hands with Micah. “I like your Ekans, snakes are awesome!” Micah replied. “Yah, I can’t wait until we can catch our own!” Seth added as he shook hands with the boy.

The kid handed Micah some cash and started to walk away. “Wait, what is this for?” Micah asked. The boy turned around and gave him a puzzling look, “Well, it’s for winning.” He answered. Seth walked over and looked at Micah, “You get paid for winning?” Seth asked. “Is this your first battle?” The kid asked. “Yah, we just started training. I'm afraid we don’t know all of the rules yet I guess.” Micah said. “Wow, you have a strong Pokémon for a beginner.  And yah, it’s customary to pay someone for winning a Pokémon battle.” The kid explained. Micah and Seth looked at each other; their eyes were wide as they looked down at the money. “The only people we have battled so far is Team Rocket, and they got arrested.” Seth said as he looked down at the money. “I wouldn’t count on Rocket grunts paying you for a battle; they don’t usually follow Pokémon battling etiquette.” The boy said before walking off. Micah counted the money, “He gave me over $300!” Micah said. “Wow, that’s awesome! I call the next trainer!” Seth said as Micah split up the cash. “We should split up our winnings; we can make a lot of money like this!” Micah said as he handed Seth half of the cash. “Alright, that’s a good idea. That way if one of us beats a rich kid we don’t end up having one of us with a lot more money than the other.” Seth agreed.

They started walking through the tree maze on route 25 beside Bills house and found another trainer; this one was an overweight middle-aged man with a large beard. “Hey kids, I see you have Pokémon. How about a battle?” The man asked. Seth stepped up patted Snorlax on the back, “It would be our pleasure!” he replied! “Wow, that’s a big Pokémon. You don’t mind if I throw out both of mine do you, it seems only fair.” The man asked. Seth looked at Micah and then at Snorlax, “Ok, that sounds fair.” Seth said. The man held up his hand with two Pokeballs between his fingers, and then he tossed them both out. Out of the balls came a Machop and a Geodude, they looked a bit intimidated by Snorlax but were ready to fight. “Machop use focus energy, Geodude use tackle!” The man commanded. Machop took in a deep breath and closed his eyes, raising his hands to head height and then slowly pushing them together. Meanwhile the Geodude rushed Snorlax and struck him in the leg! Snorlax kicked the Geodude away and Seth yelled to him, “Use Bodyslam!” Snorlax jumped up and landed on the Geodude with all of his weight in a big belly flop!

The Geodude was out cold and the man retrieved him, “Machop, use Low Kick!” the man yelled as he put his other Pokeball up! The Machop ran over and with all of his might he threw a low sweeping kick at Snorlax’s legs, knocking them out from under him! The attack landed and Snorlax flipped up and onto his back, knocking the breath out of him! Unfortunately the Machop was unable to move out of the way and got landed on by Snorlax, knocking it out as well. Snorlax got up and held his belly, trying to take a breath. He finally stood up strait and managed to take a light breath, but then had to take a few hyperventilated breaths. The man retrieved his Machop and shook Seth's hand, “That Snorlax of yours is one big Pokémon!” he said as he handed Seth some money. Seth checked on Snorlax and then gave him a potion, “How did your little Machop hurt him so badly?” He asked. “Oh, well I used a good strategy. I used focus energy, which raised Machop’s attack power. Then I used Low Kick, which inflicts greater damage on heavier opponents. So that huge weight advantage you had over my Pokémon was turned against him. If your Pokémon wasn’t so tuff he would have been defeated, but even a good strategy isn’t enough sometimes I guess.” The Man explained. “Wow, thanks man. This was my first legitimate Pokémon battle so I'm new to this stuff.” Seth explained. “Your first battle huh, well good job!” the man congratulated. “Thanks again!” Seth said. The man turned around and started to walk off, hiking stick in hand. “Looks like this old hiker better hike back to a Pokecenter, I don’t think a Potion is going to do me. You boys want an escort?” The man asked as he turned around. The boys shook their heads and the man shrugged, then he headed down the trail.

“Wow, there is a lot more to this battling stuff than I thought.” Seth said as he spilt his cash and gave some to Micah. “Yah, that guy really knew what he was talking about. It’s too bad he didn’t have any strong Pokémon.” Micah said as they walked through the trees and on to the next trainer. This time it was a kid who looked like he just got out of school, he was Micah and Seth's age but had on a school uniform. “How about a Pokémon battle?” The kid asked as Micah and Seth walked up, Hitmonlee was in front of them and Snorlax in the rear. Micah stepped forward and put his hand on Hitmonlee, “I’d love one!” he replied. “Hmm, Hitmonlee huh. Well ok, I choose you Spearow!” The kid said as he tossed one of his two Pokeballs! Out of the ball a quick little bird came flying out and landed on the ground near Hitmonlee. The bird had a fierce look in its eye, but so did Hitmonlee as he glared directly into its gazing eyes. The Spearow raised its brow and tilted its head to the side as it took a step back away from Hitmonlee. “Looks like your little bird isn’t as fearsome as he thinks he is.” Micah said with a smile. The boy smiled as he came up with his rebuttal, “We will see who is more fearsome after my little bird takes out your fighting type Pokémon with a few flying type moves!” the kid said. Micah looked at Seth and they both had the same puzzled look, “What are you talking about?” Seth asked as he gave a look of disbelief to the kid. “Spear, use Peck quick!” The kid said as his Spearow darted towards Hitmonlee! Hitmonlee threw a kick at the bird but with one flap of its wings it flew over the attack and pecked Hitmonlee on the chest! Hitmonlee staggered back holding his chest; he was confused as to how the little attack hurt so badly. Seth and Micah were speechless; they couldn’t believe that a little bird just hurt Hitmonlee! The Spearow flew around in the air, circling Hitmonlee. “Don’t let him get another one of those in on you Hitmonlee; it’s obvious that we can’t underestimate him anymore!” Micah finally said. Hitmonlee nodded his head and kept an eye on the Spearow. “Good job Spear, now do it again!” the kid shouted. The Spearow let out a shrill squawk and flew in to attack! Hitmonlee threw a kick and the Spearow once again dodged it, but didn’t even see the second kick! Hitmonlee Struck the Spearow mid flap and sent it flipping high into the air, “Use Jump Kick!” Micah Yelled! Hitmonlee squatted down low and then sprang up into the air, performing a barrel roll and using his momentum to kick the Wounded Spearow hard in its ribcage! The Spearow fell hard to the ground and didn’t move, “That’s enough Spear, you tried your best!” the boy said as he pulled out his Pokeball.

“Now, Rattata attack!” The boy said as he retrieved his Spearow with a ball and tossed another, letting a Rattata out! “Quick Attack now!” the kid shouted as soon as his Rattata hit the ground! Hitmonlee jumped over the attack and landed behind the Rattata, “Double kick that little rat!” Micah yelled! Hitmonlee kicked the Rattata into the air and then kicked him again with the other leg, sending the Rattata crashing into the ground! The kid retrieved his Rattata and then pulled some money out of his pocket, “Here kid, you deserve this! You must have one strong Hitmonlee to have beaten my Spearow, I was sure that having a type advantage over you would have sealed my win!” the kid said as he handed it to Micah. Micah took the money and then looked back at the school boy, “Type advantage?” He asked. “Yah, my Spearow had a Type advantage over your Hitmonlee. Flying type Pokémon are super effective against Fighting type Pokémon.” The kid answered. “Wow, did you learn that in school?” Seth asked. “Yah, the school is a great place to learn how to battle Pokémon effectively. But you guys don’t need that, yall are so good already!” The kid replied.

They thanked the kid and made their way to the next trainer looking for a battle. “Sounds like they teach some good stuff at school.” Micah said as he split the cash and handed Seth his cut. “No way man, school is lame! And besides, that kid was right. We are so good already; we don’t need to go to some stupid school!” Seth said, then they high-fived each other. “Yah, I guess you’re right. We are learning everything we need to know right now, through experience in battle!” Micah said as he put his arm around Hitmonlee. “Look, another eager trainer!” Seth said as he pointed at a teenage girl in a short skirt. “I got this one.” Seth said with a wink as he elbowed Micah in the arm and hinted for Snorlax to follow him. “Hey, you boys are pretty good trainers!” She said as she noticed the boys approaching. Seth looked back at Micah with a raised eyebrow, “So, you mean to say you have been watching us?” Seth asked as he turned back to her. “I couldn’t help but watch your last battle, good job by the way!” She said as she pointed at Micah. “Thanks!” Micah said with a smile. “My name is Haley by the way. So I couldn’t help but overhear this is your first day as a Pokémon trainer.” She said to the boys. “I'm Seth and this is my friend Micah. And yah, we just started training. We got our Pokémon a few days ago, but today is the first time we have had any legitimate Pokémon battles.” Seth replied. “Legitimate battles? So… you have battled before but not with other trainers or what?” She asked. “Well yah, yesterday we battled some Team Rocket jerks.” Seth said. “Yah, they were attacking a friend of ours so we helped the cops catch them by beating them in a Pokémon battle.” Micah added. “Wow, sounds like you boys have had an interesting start, it’s no wonder your Pokémon are so strong! But I bet I have some Pokémon you guys haven’t battled yet, how about it? Either of you think you can take me?” She said with a smile as she pulled a Pokeball off of her belt. Seth patted Snorlax on the belly and stepped to the side, “I think I can! Well actually I guess my Snorlax can, he’s the toughest Pokémon ever!” Seth said!

The girl tossed out a Pokeball and a small Oddish came bouncing out! It jumped around back and forth on its small feet and had a very cute little smile on its face. It looked at Snorlax and little smile disappeared, turning into a face of pure astonishment. “Is it ok if I throw out my other Oddish? They are used to battling together.” Haley said as she looked at her Oddish compared to Snorlax. “Sure, why not! I love a good challenge!” Seth said, and then he turned to Micah. “As if those little round vegetables are going to be a challenge.” He whispered to Micah, “Yah, more like a midday snack!” Micah added before Seth turned back to Haley, who tossed out another Oddish. The Oddish bounced back and forth in unison as their leaves spread wide on their heads. The leaves absorbed sunlight and their bouncing became increasingly faster.  Snorlax was very amused by all of the bouncing back and forth as he watched the two little Pokémon. “Use Poison Powder!” Haley shouted! The two little Oddish jumped up high in the air and spun around, launching purple powder all over Snorlax! Snorlax shook off the powder and swatted the Oddish out of the air. “Now body slam them Troll!” Seth yelled as the two Oddish hit the ground! Snorlax jumped up into the air and assumed the belly-flop position before landing hard on top of the two small plants! The ground shook as he hit and then he rolled off of them and stood back up.

Haley retrieved her Oddish and tossed out another ball, releasing a Pidgey. “Pidgey use Quick Attack!” Haley said as her Pidgey flapped around Snorlax. The Pidgey flew towards Snorlax fast and slammed into the side of his head before bouncing off and resuming its flight. Snorlax didn’t seem to notice and swiped at the Pidgey a few times. “Use Sand-Attack now!” Haley said as Pidgey dipped and dived, evading Snorlax’s swipes. Pidgey flew to the ground and kicked up some dirt into Snorlax’s eyes! Snorlax stumbled backwards and pawed at his eyes. “Now use Gust!” Haley commanded! Pidgey flew up into the air and flapped its wings hard, sending a rushing gust of wind at Snorlax and knocking him off of his feet! Snorlax rolled over and continued wiping his eyes. “I guess this is a good time to try out my Meowth! Troll return, you did good buddy.” Seth said as he retrieved Troll and tossed out his Meowth. Meowth came rushing out of the ball and took a swipe at Seth, who jumped away and pushed Meowth backwards towards the Pidgey. “Swipe the Pidgey!” Seth shouted. Meowth turned and looked at the Pidgey but was not amused. “Pidgey use Quick Attack!” Haley shouted as she pointed at Meowth. Pidgey flew down and took a dive at Meowth, who jumped to the side and slashed the Pidgey! The Pidgey hit the ground and jumped back to its feet, “Slash it again!” Seth said! Meowth charged the Pidgey and scratched it several times in a row, putting it down fast!

Haley retrieved her Pidgey while Seth congratulated his Meowth on its first victory. “Good job Meowth, you were awesome out there!” Seth said as he approached Meowth, who took a swipe at him again. Seth laughed and retrieved his Pokémon, “Sorry about your loss.” he said to Haley. “It’s ok, I don’t mind losing to a trainer of your caliber.” She said as she gave Seth some money. Haley walked away and Seth let Snorlax out of his ball, “Let’s go wash your eyes out Troll.” He said as Snorlax wiped at his eyes. They made their way back to the ponds in front of Bills house and Snorlax washed his eyes out. Snorlax and Hitmonlee got a drink of water and they all made their way back into the maze. “Why do you get to battle all of the older trainers and I always end up fighting little kids?” Micah said as they walked past the trainers who they had already battled. Haley had her Pokémon out and waved at the boys as she doctored them up with some potions. “Were little kids, what’s wrong with battling people our age?” Seth said as they waved at Haley. “That’s not what I mean, I mean I haven’t gotten to battle against trainers who have as much experience the ones you have been battling.” Micah said, “I just want to have a real challenge.” He added as he put his arm around Hitmonlee. “Well it’s your turn to battle, but if it’s a kid ill take them out and then you can try to find an adult.” Seth said. But just then they came around a corner and found the next trainer, and it was another big burly hiker. “Alright, just what I wanted!” Micah exclaimed.

The boys ran up to the man, “Hey, you looking for a battle?” Micah asked. The man looked at them and frowned, “Are you the two punks who beat my brother?” He asked. “What? Who?” Micah said in confusion. “Yah, you are the two kids. My brother came by on his way to the Pokecenter, said he got beaten by a kid with a Snorlax.” The man said as he looked at Snorlax. “Look mister, we had a friendly battle and your brother lost.” Seth said. “Yah and he wasn’t even upset about it. He was a good sport, so what’s your problem?” Micah added. “That is my problem, the fact that he didn’t care. Well I do care, I’ve been training way too long to get bested by some kid.” The man said as he pulled out a Pokeball. “Well than I hope your Pokémon’s bite is as big as your bark.” Micah said as Hitmonlee stepped up. The man smiled and tossed his Pokeball out away from them, Hitmonlee watched eagerly as it opened. It hit the ground and out from the misty ray of light came an Onix, crashing onto the ground and twisting around. “You may have a type advantage, but I think your Hitmonlee may be in the wrong weight class for this battle!” the man said as his Onix made its way to Hitmonlee.

“Use Bind attack now!” The man yelled as Hitmonlee sized up the Onix. Onix rush at Hitmonlee, trying to throw a coil or two around him! “Don’t let him wrap you up Hitmonlee, try to get to his head and give him a kick!” Micah shouted as the Onix writhed around and Hitmonlee jumped rapidly back and forth off of the leviathan’s massive coiling body! Hitmonlee did as he was told and with a giant leap he delivered a flying roundhouse kick to the attacking Onix’s head! The Onix was stunned as its coils fell limp to the ground, sending a small quake to the nearby area. Micah and Seth fell back but Snorlax caught them and picked them up as the nearby trees shook and even uprooted! Hitmonlee hit the ground and dashed toward the beasts head, “Use Iron Tail attack!” The man shouted! Just then the Onix came to and in a whip like movement it swung its tail into Hitmonlee! Hitmonlee was thrown into a nearby tree and disappeared into the foliage. Seth ran for the tree with Snorlax as Micah pulled out his other Pokeball. “Pidgey I choose y…” but just before he could toss the ball Hitmonlee came launching out of the top of the tree! He flipped head over heels and tried to land a massive kick on Onix, but it moved just in time to avoid the attack! Hitmonlee landed his kick on the ground and left a large creator, sending dirt everywhere! “Onix, use Rage!” the Hiker screamed as Hitmonlee pulled his foot out of the ground and posed for action. The Onix reared up and let out a roar before wildly throwing its self at Hitmonlee! Hitmonlee flipped up and landed a kick under the Onix’s jaw as he leapt out of the way. The Onix shook its head and then swung its tail at Hitmonlee, who jumped over it and landed on it mid body. Onix bucked him off, sending him at a tree. But Hitmonlee kicked off of the tree and flew straight back at Onix, “Use Mega Kick!” Micah yelled! Hitmonlee spun around and let his foot lead the way straight into the side of the Onix! The Onix slid into a group of trees and sent a random trainer running from the other side! Hitmonlee dashed towards the Onix but was met by a massive tail that swept him off of his feet and sent him tumbling. The Onix was weak now and appeared to be confused. Hitmonlee did a kip up and walked around to the front of the Onix. “Use tackle!” the man said as his Onix shook its head in confusion. Its vision was blurry and its hearing was faint, but it threw itself at Hitmonlee anyway. Hitmonlee tried to evade but was unsuccessful and got pummeled by the massive snake! It hit him full force and smashed him into the ground beneath it!

Micah dropped to his knees and pulled out Hitmonlee’s ball, he was stunned. Seth shook him wildly and pulled him to his feet, “It’s not over, you still have your Pidgey!” he yelled into Micah's ear! Micah retried Hitmonlee and looked at his other ball, “Pidgey, I guess I choose you.” He said as he tossed it out. His Pidgey came flying out of its ball and scanned the area before dive bombing at Snorlax! “No, not him! The Onix over there, the big rock snake!” Micah shouted as he griped Hitmonlee’s ball. The Onix was still week and confused, “He’s week, finish him off Pidgey!” Micah yelled. “Onix use tail whip, knock that bird out of the sky!” The Hiker commanded. The Onix looked and threw its self into the air, slamming its head on the ground as it landed. “No, stop hurting yourself! Come on Onix, snap out of it!” The man yelled. “Pidgey use Sand-Attack!” Micah said, and then he looked back at Seth with a smile. “The last Sand-Attack I saw worked pretty well!” Micah said to Seth as he patted Snorlax on the belly. Pidgey flew down to the ground and kicked up some dirt into the Onix’s eyes, sending it into a rage! It slammed its head all over the ground and whipped its tail around wildly until it passed out from exhaustion. Pidgey flew down and perched its self on top of the Onix and let out a loud screech!

Suddenly Pidgey started to glow brightly, “I think she’s evolving!” Micah shouted in excitement. The Hiker pointed his Pokeball out and retrieved his Onix before throwing a rock at Micah’s Pidgey! Pidgey fell to ground as the Onix dissipated beneath its feet and then the rock struck it in the head. Pidgey stopped glowing and sat on the ground in a daze. “No way, you didn’t beat me! My Pokémon beat your Hitmonlee and then wore its self out! Your Pidgey doesn’t deserve the rewards of winning  that battle, it didn’t do anything to my Onix!” the man shouted as he kicked the dirt and walked towards the boys in a rage. Suddenly Snorlax stepped up and roared at the man, knocking him down. He crawled backwards and stumbled all over himself. “I won the battle fair and square, now you owe me some money!” Micah said. “Yah, and not to mention you hurt his Pidgey. You better pay for what you did!” Seth said as he pointed at the man. The Hiker stood up and threw some money at them, “Here, take it. You kids better watch your backs because one day I’ll catch you guys without your Pokémon and I’ll make you pay. I have connections, I know people in low and high places! You haven’t seen the last of me; I’ll be back with a vengeance! Mark my words; you will pay for what happened here toda…” The man was saying when all of the sudden Pidgey flew down and pecked him on the head, knocking him flat on his back! Micah and Seth grabbed the cash and looked up at Pidgey.

Pidgey circled over them and started to glow again, this time evolving uninterrupted! She tripled in size and grew a long red head crest along with long multicolored plumage on its tail! It landed a short distance away and the boys ran over to see her, pointing their Pokedex her. “Pidgeotto, a Normal/Flying type Pokémon” their Pokedex said. Micah put his Pokedex down and walked around his new Pidgeotto and looked it over while Seth waited for all of the information to pull up on the Pokedex. “Wow, she must be three feet tall now!” Micah said as he patted Pidgeotto on the head and then gave it a hug. “Hey, the information is up!” Seth said and then he cleared his through. “Pidgeotto is a large raptor-like flying Pokémon. It has powerful talons to grasp its prey with; these claws can also inflict a lot of damage if used in battle. Pidgeotto is a powerful flier; it is capable of carrying prey several miles to its nest. They have an amazing sense of sight and hearing, its eyesight is so good that it can spot its prey from several miles away. It can have a home range of more than 60 miles and will fiercely defend it from intruders. Unlike its previous form, Pidgeotto can be more dangerous and should be approached with extreme caution.” Seth read aloud to Micah. “Sweet, sounds like I’ll be able to use this guy after all!” Micah said as he picked up his Pokedex. “You hear that Buddy, I'm guna make you a permanent part of my team!” he added as he started to turn off his Pokedex, but as he turned by Snorlax an icon popped up.

“Hmm, look at this Seth.” Micah said as he turned his pokedex to Seth. They looked at the screen; there was an icon that said “New information available!” Micah touched it and it pulled up an update to download. “Darn, it says we have to be in a Pokecenter to download the update.” Micah said as he shut the Pokedex and put it in his backpack. “Dang and I really wanted to see what new stuff Professor Oak put on Snorlax.” Seth said as he looked at his Pokedex. “Well, I need to get to a Pokecenter for Hitmonlee anyway.” Micah said as he looked at Hitmonlee’s ball. “Thanks by the way.” Micah added as he punched Seth's arm. “For what?” Seth asked as he climbed up onto Snorlax’s shoulders. “For snapping me out of it when Hitmonlee fainted.” Micah replied as he tossed Hitmonlee’s ball up and then caught it with the other hand. “Yah man, that’s what buddy’s are for.” Seth said. “Buddy’s huh, I think that’s what I'm going to name Pidgeotto.” Micah said as he looked back at Pidgeotto, “How about it, does Buddy sound like a good name?” Micah asked. Pidgeotto squawked and Micah smiled, “Sounds like a yes to me!” He said as he started to walk beside Snorlax. Pidgeotto leapt up and flew around them as they walked. Micah took one more look at the Hiker amidst the wreckage from his battle, the man was just now starting to sit up and look around. “Don’t worry about him, he has no Pokémon left and we have Snorlax.” Seth reassured as they walked through some trees and out of his sight.
